Andrea has dedicated more than nine years of service at HLA, beginning in 2008. She left in 2012 to pursue work in long-term care facilities before returning in 2019. She has worked in long-term care, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, and hospital care.

Andrea loves working with adults, children of all ages, and their families. She has extensive experience with aphasia, dysphagia, and speech and language disorders. In her free time, Andrea’s husband and four children keep her busy. She loves being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping with her family.

Caylee graduated from Panola College with her Associate Degree in 2008. She attended Stephen F. Austin and received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2010 and her Master’s Degree in 2012. Before arriving at HLA, she worked in adult rehabilitation, acute care, and pediatric outpatient settings.

Caylee especially enjoys working with pediatrics and new, outside-the-box cases. She has extensive expertise in the treatment of language disorders and genetic disorders such as Down syndrome, Fragile X, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

In her free time, Caylee enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She loves to read, considers herself a foodie, enjoys traveling to new places, and considers Disney World the happiest place on earth.

Helen graduated from Baylor University with her Bachelor’s Degree in 2017 and continued at Baylor to earn her Master’s Degree in 2019. She has worked in outpatient care since graduating and has experience with a wide array of patients, ages, and disorders.

Helen especially enjoys working with pragmatic language in patients of all ages with Autism, ADHD, and history of TBIs. She is PROMPT certified and has extensive experience in the treatment and evaluation of patients in need of speech-generating devices.

In her free time, Helen enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She loves trying new skills or crafts and is often imagining creative projects and endeavors.

Before beginning at HLA in 2011, Kalisha worked in Bryan ISD. She dedicated almost nine years of service to HLA until July 2020, when she left to work in NISD. She returned to HLA in August 2022.

Kalisha is a member of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) and ASHA. In 2018/2019, she was selected as the Top SLP in Nacogdoches, Texas by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals. Her biography has been spotlighted in Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, which recognizes healthcare providers of excellence.

Kalisha has extensive experience working with children diagnosed with Autism, learning disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. Her goal is “that by the completion of therapeutic intervention, every child/client leaves with a ‘voice’ allowing them to effectively communicate with their families and in society.”

In her free time, Kalisha loves spending quality time and traveling with her husband Brandon and her two children. Kalisha loves spending time worshipping God and is empowered by Him to help individuals with minimal speech capabilities.

LSVT LOUD® is an effective speech treatment for individuals with Parkinson disease and other neurological diseases. Mary holds a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in Voice from the University of North Texas.

As a classically trained soprano, Mary has a passion for the care and treatment of the human voice. She works with young and elderly patients, using traditional and advanced techniques to help each person.

Mary presented her graduate research study, “Impact of Cheerleading on Acoustic Measure of Vocal Function: A Cross-Sectional Study,” with Dr. Christine Bergan at the Annual Voice Foundation Symposium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2012. Mary speaks to community groups about voice disorders and treatment techniques.

Mary is a member of ASHA, TSHA, the ASHA SIG-03 Voice and Upper Airway Disorders Special Interest Group, and the Kappa Delta Pi educational honor society. She is also a Gold Award recipient and lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America.

After graduating from SFA with her Master’s Degree in May 2025, Morgan returned to HLA in June 2025. She worked hard to complete her clinical fellowship as a Speech Language Pathology Intern and has officially finished.

Morgan now holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology and is a full-fledged SLP. Morgan has worked with adults and pediatric patients with a variety of disorders and deficits. She especially enjoys working with pediatric patients to address articulation and early language skills.
